What is The Register of Wills and What does it do?

The Register of Wills Office is restriced from giving legal advice.

The Register of Wills is a public office established under the Constitution of Maryland. The Constitution provides for a Register of Wills in each county and Baltimore City. The Register of Wills operates as the Clerk of the Orphans' Court.

The Register files and records the Will, collects fees, issues certified copies of documents, and helps  assist people who need to file forms with the Probate Court.
